About Sheila B.
Sheila B. is a creative force, a fearless author, visionary filmmaker, and dynamic director bringing powerful, purpose-driven stories to the screen. Born and raised in Georgia, she’s also a proud U.S. Army veteran, devoted wife, loving mother of two, and the adoring “GeGe” and “NanaBee” to her treasured grandchildren. Her journey is one of triumph, shaped by resilience and courage. As a survivor of sexual assault, domestic violence, and cancer, Sheila transforms pain into purpose, using her life’s trials as fuel for powerful, unforgettable storytelling.

Her love for writing began in the eighth grade with a simple yet heartfelt poem, “Sonny the Bee.” That spark reignited in 2015 when she released her debut book, Willow Silent Cries; a raw, vivid memoir that invites readers deep into the emotional landscape of her childhood and early adult years. Sheila’s words don’t just tell stories, they pull you in, stir your soul, and stay with you long after the final page.

In 2013, Sheila stepped in front of the camera in Taiwon Graves’ We Are One, marking her on-screen debut. She went on to deliver compelling performances in The Interview (2018) and Second Birthday (2019), both directed by C. Nathaniel Brown. But it was behind the scenes where she truly found her calling. The world of filmmaking unlocked a new chapter, one where her storytelling brilliance could flourish without limits.

Today, Sheila B. creates films that aren’t just watched; they’re felt. Each project is a bold, immersive experience, rich with emotion, truth, and a voice that’s uniquely hers. With every scene, she continues to break barriers, inspire hearts, and leave an indelible mark on audiences everywhere.
"My mind lives in the galaxy, so there is nothing that can get in my way. All that space is waiting for me to fill it. Get ready!”
