Sheila B. Productions is seeking talented actors to bring to life the gripping and emotional drama Private Cadence. This feature film explores the resilience and struggles of a young woman navigating the intense challenges of basic training while dealing with power dynamics, harassment, and finding her voice amidst adversity.

In the rigid world of military basic training, Private Nia Blackwell arrives eager to serve her country, but she soon finds herself trapped

in a harrowing nightmare. Subjected to the relentless torment of Drill Sergeant Mo and his accomplices, Nia endures emotional manipulation, humiliation, and unspeakable violence at the hands of those sworn to lead.

 

As camaraderie among fellow soldiers offers fleeting moments of solace, Nia’s isolation deepens when she is targeted and silenced. Through her courage and resilience, she strives to survive the unyielding darkness while grappling with the weight of injustice in a system designed to protect.

 

A haunting and unflinching exploration of abuse of power, Private Cadence exposes the silent battles faced by countless women in uniform. This is a story of survival, strength, and the enduring fight for justice.
